Stroker Ace, two-time NASCAR winner heading for his third championship, loses his sponsor. In desperation he signs with fried chicken magnate Clyde Torkle. Soon Stroker discovers his book-length, iron-clad contract requires him to wear a chicken costume for television commercials and publicity stunts. Worse than that for any proud, daredevil racer, he has to drive a stock car with a sign that says "Fastest Chicken in the South."
