  <abstract>John Farley grew up as a chubby kid with no athletic skills and poor self-esteem. During his early teenage years his nemesis was Mr. Woodcock, the school's gym teacher. Years later, John has slimmed down and has come to terms with his self-image.  John comes home to visit his widowed mother, Beverly, and discovers she has a surprise for him. She has decided to get married again, and her new fianc ̌is Mr. Woodcock. Horrified, John is determined to keep his mom from walking down the aisle.</abstract>
